Timanfaya Volcano

While on Lanzorote we visited the Timanfaya Volcano. We were hoping for open areas to hike around but had to opt for the bus tour through the actual park, no hiking was permitted.

Sign with the symbol of the volcanoes.

View from the museum.

On the bus tour.

One of the craters.
It was difficult to get any really good pics being stuck in the bus. The landscape was really interesting and after we were on the bus we realized why they didn't let people drive through on their own. We were on the edge of volcanoes and craters on very narrow roads, there was no room for error.

Steam geyser demonstrating how hot the area is.

The restaurant in the National Park even used heat from the earth to cook meats and fish.
