We took the tube two stops to St. Pancras, Kings Cross station to pick up the National Rail.
Avery at St. Pancras
From there we took the East Midlands line from London to Shefield. This train was fairly quick and we had a 4 seat area with a table to ourselves. The train arrived late into Shefield and we quickly hopped on our next train. At least what we thought was our next train. After a few stops we figured out that we missed the express train that we were scheduled for and we were on a local train that was making many stops. The train was only two cars long and reved it's engine every time we took off from a stop. This train ended up being pack, people even lined the center isle. Apparently there was a soccer game(or football...pending what country you are reading this from!) in Manchester that was drawing a big crowd. Although the train was slow it was actually beautiful countryside and quite relaxing. Our last train from Manchester to Southport went off without a hitch.Avery has arrived in Southport! I think I hear all the women running out of their houses to meet her!
